Grand Opening
GRAND OPENING was a great success! We had a great time on Feb 25, 2013 at the Grand Opening. Everyone enjoyed Turkish Cuisine, Traditional Turkish Art Performance and Special Live Music Performance
Turkish Tea Night
Peace Valley Foundation and Turkish Student Organization organized Turkish Tea Night at University of South Alabama. There were live demonstration and video about how to
prepare Turkish Hot Tea. At the end of the night, guests tasted Turkish Hot Tea and enjoyed traditional Turkish Baklava & Delight.
Annual International Festival of North Alabama
Peace Valley Foundation sponsored the Turkish Booth at the 3rd Annual International Festival of North Alabama on September 29th, Saturday, 2012. The miniatures of Anatalolian architecture, hand-crafts, coffee sets, informative brochures, sultans' turbans, and traditional clothing were among the displays. The visitors of the Turkish booth also had the chance of tasting Turkish cuisine including borek, baklava, and dolma (stuffed peppers). A special dish ("Mercimek Koftesi" or lentil balls) from Turkish cuisine was introduced at two radio shows at WVNN (92.5FM) and WZYP (104.3FM). 2nd Annual Turkish American Day at the Alabama Capitol
Montgomery (February 23, 2012) – The 2nd Annual Turkish American Day at the Alabama Capitol took place at the Alabama State Capitol Building on Thursday, February 23rd 2012 from 10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. This unique program – free and open to the public - introduced Alabama Senators, Representatives, staff and the community to Turkish culture through fabulous food, fun, Turkish Music performance and cultural exhibitions.

"Turkish Art & Culture Exhibit at Huntsville Municipal Complex
Samples from Turkish art, culture, history, and geography will be on display starting May 17, 2012. Peace Valley Foundation is pleased to sponsor this event.The display includes Turkish coffee sets, Ottoman Sultans' turbans, crafted daggers, collectible architectures of the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Galata Tower, and figurines of whirling dervishes.

Mobile International Festival
The annually organized Mobile International Festival(MIF) is one of the most appealing events held in Mobile. Volunteers of Peace Valley Foundation proudly helped Turkish-American community to organize Turkish cultural and food booths at MIF. Visitors got the chance to experience Turkish culture, learn about the history, and enjoy with the traditional food.
