Trip to Turkey 2011

This year again,  Peace Valley Foundation organized intercultural dialogue trips to Turkey and invited Alabamians from many different backgrounds, traditions and professions. Christian, Jewish and Muslim clergy, professors, journalists, artists, politicians and business leaders spend ten days together while visiting historic Turkish cities and sites.

During the trip our guests enjoy not only the rich history and natural beauty of Turkey but also each other’s companionship where they build life long friendships. For many, time spent with Turkish families become a source of unforgettable memories.

Intercultural Dialogue Trip to Turkey 2010

Mobile, AL. Every year, Peace Valley Foundation organizes intercultural dialogue trips to Turkey and invites Alabamians from many different backgrounds, traditions and professions. Christian, Jewish and Muslim clergy, professors, journalists, artists, politicians and business leaders spend ten days together while visiting historic Turkish cities and sites.

During the trip our guests enjoy not only the rich history and natural beauty of Turkey but also each other’s companionship where they build life long friendships. For many, time spent with Turkish families become a source of unforgettable memories.

This year’s group (June 2010) visited ancient cities; met with professional organizations, businesspeople, teachers, and students; laughed and chatted with Turkish families; and enjoyed the intriguing and delicious Turkish cuisine. The starting and ending place was Istanbul, one of the world’s great international cities.

Serving food to homeless

Mobile, AL. Peace Valley Foundation organizing relief programs with the goal of strengthening the bonds of humanity and promoting understanding between various social groups.

Volunteers serving food to homeless people at 15 Place in Mobile AL, with a special focus on our own neighborhoods in state of Alabama.

Reunion with Turkey Trippers

Mobile, AL. Out guests attended to dialogue trips to Turkey in past years from Mobile, AL came together at a reunion meeting. Participants of dinner were welcomed by PVF volunteers in Mobile, AL. Everyone shared their exciting moments and experiences throughout their excursion in Turkey.

5th Annual Dialogue Dinner

Mobile, AL. The fifth Annual Dialogue and Friendship Dinner was successfully held in Riverview Plaza Hotel in Mobile,AL on Monday, November 3rd, 2009.

This year’s event was titled “Who is my neighbor?”

More than 170 distinguished guests from all walks of life came together and contributed to diversity, dialogue and mutual understanding in Mobile community.

Distinguished speakers of the night was Archbishop Thomas J. Rodi, Archbishop of Mobile and Mr. Isa Afacan, Director of Academic Affairs of Istanbul Center, Atlanta,GA.

Rabbi Steven Silberman of Ahavas Chesed Synogogue of Mobile and Mr. & Mrs. Paul & Mary Filben, Founder of Christian-Jewish Dialogue of Mobile made concluding remarks at the program.

Guests enjoyed a special Water Marbling(Ebru) performance by an artist invited from Turkey(Turkiye).
